Industrial Yet Elegant house designed by talented architect and designer based in Ukraine, Sergey Makhno. It’s a wonderful blend of the new and the old. In this design, you can see brick walls, which are reminiscent of old cottage homes, as well as modern sliding doors.
In the living area, you can observe a nice combination of antique and modern furniture. The brown sofa, the old wooden framed chairs and the hardwood floor blend to fit the brown color palette. The calm white colored cushions on the antique chairs offer a nice contrast to the dominant brown color. You can also see this theme repeated in the design of the tall multipurpose shelf. The top portion serves as book shelf while the middle portion is covered with white wood.
The dining area is located in between the kitchen and the living area. The sleek white and brown dining table is surrounded by six dark brown chairs. The polished wooden strips on the walls have a calm and relaxing effect on the eyes. Rectangular pendant lights provide additional lighting for the dining table. The kitchen has a nice and compact design. The white cabinets create a pleasant contrast with the dark brown wall.
A sliding door ushers you into the bedroom. And it helps to maximize the space in this room. Hence, you have a flat screen TV placed on the wall. An ordinary swing door may have covered up this space. The color theme in this bedroom gives you a very vibrant and inviting atmosphere. Shades of three colors – white, gray and beige are skillfully combined. There are 4 gray colored pendant lights positioned to give you light where you’ll really need it.
The bathroom is separated from the room by a sliding glass door. The design of this bathroom will make you feel like having a shower even when you don’t really need one. It has a combination of contemporary amenities like the shower in a glass enclosure – with auto-cleaning features. But you can also see old fashioned square shaped wash hand basins. Nevertheless, the design depicts a very thoughtful and efficient use of space.
